Notice of Development Review Board Public Hearings on 10/17/19

The Development Review Board will hold three public hearings during their regular meeting on Thursday, October 17th, 2019 (6:30 PM):

  1. Conditional Use Approval: 9 George Street
    • Applicant has submitted a zoning permit application to establish a detached cottage at 9 George Street. Detached cottages are listed as a conditional use in the Residential B (R-B) Zoning District and require approval from the Development Review Board before a zoning permit can be issued. Conditional use review is outlined in Section 6.7 of the City’s Unified Land Use and Development Regulations. The Development Review Board will hold a public hearing on this request before rendering a decision. Decisions of the Development Review Board can be appealed by “interested persons” (as defined by 24 V.S.A. §4465) to the Environmental Division of the Vermont Superior Court.   2. Conditional Use Approval: 159 East Spring Street
    • Applicant has submitted a zoning permit application to establish a detached cottage at 159 East Spring Street. Detached cottages are listed as a conditional use in the Residential C (R-C) Zoning District and require approval from the Development Review Board before a zoning permit can be issued. Conditional use review is outlined in Section 6.7 of the City’s Unified Land Use and Development Regulations. The Development Review Board will hold a public hearing on this request before rendering a decision. Decisions of the Development Review Board can be appealed by “interested persons” (as defined by 24 V.S.A. §4465) to the Environmental Division of the Vermont Superior Court.   3. Waiver Request: 18 Forest Street
    • Applicant has submitted a zoning permit application and has requested a waiver to the sideyard setback at property located at 18 Forest Street. 18 Forest Street is located in the Residential C (R-C) Zoning District. The minimum sideyard setback is 10 feet. The applicant is requesting a waiver to reduce the sideyard setback by approximately 1.5 feet. Requests for dimensional waivers are outlined in Section 6.8 of the City’s Unified Land Use and Development Regulations. The Development Review Board will hold a public hearing on this request before rendering a decision. Decisions of the Development Review Board can be appealed by “interested persons” (as defined by 24 V.S.A. §4465) to the Environmental Division of the Vermont Superior Court.
