The City of Winooski is joining with the National AfterSchool Association to celebrate the professionals that are at the heart of afterschool programs during "Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week" (April 22 - 26, 2019). We are joining the effort because we believe afterschool professionals make a difference in the lives of young people!
Through our partnership with the Winooski School District, our Thrive After School Program aims to build a community where children can explore, learn, and grow during their after school hours while providing a safe place for children. This program is perfect for caring adults who support working families.
The City of Winooski would like to sincerely thank Kirstie Paschall, Children and Family Programs Manager, and her staff of incredible Program Assistants: Francine Bahati, Mikaela Bee, Cathy Burbo, Gordon Goldsmith, Dana Majewski, and Claudine Nkurinziza for their dedication and excellence in serving Winooski’s youth. Thank you!
“Working for Thrive allows me to connect with my community directly – children from different grade levels, parents, teachers, everyone loves getting together for play dates and program activities. My favorite thing about our program is when the more shy/unsure children leave with the biggest, brightest smiles on their faces!” Claudine Nkurinziza, Program Assistant
“We are so lucky to have such dedicated staff and to have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with the children in our program. They work hard every day to build a community in a program that is kind, caring, and supportive of our children and each other.” Kirstie Paschall, Children and Family Programs Manager
