Winooski Trustee Needed for CCTV


The City of Winooski and CCTV are looking for a Winooski resident to join their local trustees. 

Under the direction of the Chittenden County Government Access Channel Trust, Town Meeting Television Trustees play an important role in the present and future of Channel 17/ Town Meeting Television. Town Meeting TV Trustees are appointed by the elected bodies of its member municipalities (Burlington, South Burlington, Essex, Essex Junction, Winooski, Williston, and Colchester). The Trustees are responsible for policy, negotiations with local cable companies, and financial matters. Trustees may be elected or appointed from the community at large and serve at the pleasure of their member municipalities.

Town Meeting Television airs local government meetings and community events on Comcast, Burlington Telecom,, and YouTube. In addition to coverage of public events, Town Meeting TV offers training, equipment and production opportunities for members of the public with a local story tell or an issue to mobilize. Town Meeting TV is operated on behalf of the Trustees by CCTV Center for Media & Democracy and is part of a network of 25 community media centers that serve all corners of Vermont.
