The Vermont Agency of Transportation invites you to attend a Public Meeting to learn more about the Exit 16 DDI Project:
Tuesday, September 3, 2019 (as part of the regular Winooski City Council Meeting)
The presentation will include the project's scope, reconfiguration design, bicycle and pedestrian flow, anticipated construction schedule and impacts, and the project's status. The project team will be available to answer any questions and address any comments. There will be an opportunity to take a test drive through the DDI using the virtual driving simulator.
About the project:
The Exit 16 Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) is located along the US Route 2/7 corridor, in the vicinity of I-89 Exit 16 in Colchester, Vermont. The project area extends from the Colchester-Winooski town line north for approximately one mile to just beyond the intersection of Sunderland Woods Road at US Route 2/7. The core of the project is to reconfigure the existing tight diamond interchange to a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) at I-89 Exit 16. Other improvements include:
