[ARCHIVED] Paint & Picnic - Help Create a Mural in Winooski

Paint and Picnic Event

Interested in public art? Want to help give back to the community?

The City of Winooski has partnered with Arts So Wonderful to provide a three-day Picnic & Paint event in an effort to install a mural under the Winooski River Bridge!

Event Logistics:

You're invited! This event is family-friendly, free and open to all - everyone can help paint the mural (kids under 14 must be accompanied by an adult). Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy, all painting materials provided. Meet at 12 PM on any of the three days under the Winooski River Bridge near Winooski Falls Park:

About the Project:

Arts So Wonderful has brought on Liz Emmett, a local artist with years of mural experience to help manage the project with the Community Services Department volunteer program. Under their direction, participants will use a "paint-by-number" method, making the event accessible to all. Arts So Wonderful is a unique non-profit visual and performing arts program for youth ages 14-25 who help inspire youth to reach their goals through our community programs.
