The City of Winooski Department of Public Works will begin work with our contractors on a temporary road repair project on Tuesday, October 22 and is expected to be completed by Thursday, October 24, 2019.
The scope of work includes road joint repairs on Main Street from West Allen Street to Mansion Street. This is a temporary repair to improve ride quality for the concrete road section of Main Street. A permanent repair project by the Vermont Agency of Transportation is targeted to begin April 2021 for the Main Street (US 7) and West Allen Street concrete road sections.
The Contractor will be permitted to work 7 AM to 4 PM during each day of the project, where street parking is not permitted in the work area during these times. Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense. Overnight parking is permitted but roads must be clear by 6 AM. Parking is available in the Winooski Parking Garage on Cascade Way – visit winooskivt.gov/parking to learn more.
Please also note:
- two lanes of traffic will be maintained during repair work with temporary lane realignment as needed
- flaggers will provide traffic control during project hours when necessary
- sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians
