[ARCHIVED] National Novel Writing Month at the Winooski Memorial Library

The Winooski Memorial Library is celebrating National Novel Writing Month!

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a month-long event in November in which people all over the world commit to writing a 50,000-word novel in 30 days. Join us and local writing expert Aurora Hurd for this fun and engaging write-in workshop - light refreshments provided.

  • 2019 Saturday Sessions: 11/2 & 11/16 - 2:15 - 5:15 PM at the Winooski Memorial Library
  • Free and open to all

“NaNoWriMo gives writers the impetus to overcome creative obstacles, dive into their imaginations, and finally start writing the novel of their dreams. With the goal of making your creativity a priority for a month, NaNoWriMo not only teaches valuable approaches to the creative process, but critical habits to becoming a successful writer. Being a novelist is a matter of keeping at it, putting one word after the other day after day. You can’t wait for the muse to come to you—you have to create your own muse. We want everyone to be able to tell their story, to trust in the beauty of their muse,” says Grant Faulkner, Executive Director of NaNoWriMo.
