  • Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver - Under the direction of the Winooski Senior Center, Meals on Wheels Delivery volunteers help to combat hunger and to provide a lifeline and companionship for under-resourced community members who might otherwise be isolated. Meals on Wheels are delivered every weekday, Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM  - 11 AM.
  • Morning Support Volunteer - Under the direction of the Winooski Senior Center, Morning Support Volunteers will be the first friendly face that people see as they walk in. Morning Support will greet seniors, encourage senior engagement, answer the phones, and assist with our nutrition programs.
  • Nutrition Support Volunteer - Under the direction of the Winooski Senior Center, Nutrition Support Volunteers perform tasks in the Kitchen to support our nutrition program. This could include basic food prep, chopping of vegetables, serving food, using the dishwasher, cleaning tables, and more. Hours: Tuesday 10-1.

Commission Seats

  • Finance Commission - This Commission is a policy advising group to the City Council.  It serves to advise the Council on implementing the Economic Vitality Strategic Vision area as outlined in the Master Plan and ensuring the City maintains an overall strong financial position. Economic Vitality: "Maintain and expand our economic development to ensure long-term vibrancy."
  • Safe, Healthy, Connected People Commission  - This Commission is a policy advising group to the City Council and serves to implement its Strategic Vision area as outlined in the Master Plan. Safe, Healthy, Connected People: "Foster relationships across generations and cultures by providing a safe and healthy environment and providing opportunities to connect and engage with other residents of the City."

Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) Volunteer

  • Under the direction of the Winooski Community Justice Center, COSA Volunteers serve as a source of support and accountability for someone transitioning into the community after a period of incarceration (the core member). Volunteers with COSA meet once a week with two to three other volunteers and the core member. They walk with a core member as they transition from prison to community, and work through all of the changes and challenges that come with that transition.
