[ARCHIVED] Sidewalk Snow Plowing to Resume on 2.5.21

Snow Removal

Update 2.4.21:

Thanks to the generous help of the City of Burlington Public Works Department, the City of Winooski will be borrowing two of our neighbor's sidewalk plows so that sidewalk snow removal may resume starting tomorrow (Friday, 2.5.21) and over the weekend until all sidewalks are clear. Please join us in thanking our neighbors for the helping hand, and thank you for your patience during this time.

Original Message 2.3.21:

Please note, due to unforeseen mechanical failures, both of the City's sidewalk plows are temporarily out of service. Sidewalk plowing will be delayed during this recent winter storm.

The Department of Public Works is working diligently to get these critical pieces of equipment operational. Although we don't have an exact ETA on these repairs, a follow-up notice will be sent when normal operations can resume. Currently, the sidewalks along Main Street and Downtown Winooski have been cleared. In the meantime, the Department of Public Works will be working to clear sidewalks with alternative equipment focused on the main school routes.

Thank you for your patience at this time!
