[ARCHIVED] Meals on Wheels Volunteers Needed!

MOW

Are you are looking for a simple way to make a huge impact in the community? We need Meals on Wheels delivery volunteers!

Our Meals on Wheels program is made possible through a special partnership with Age Well, providing nutritious meals and companionship to ensure the health and safety of those we serve. The Winooski route is expanding as more residents are requesting meals - we are currently looking for volunteers to deliver meals Monday - Friday. Meal pick-up starts at 9:30 AM at the Winooski Senior Center. The current route only takes about 1.5 hours.

More about Meals on Wheels:

A nutritious meal is only the start of the value Meals on Wheels can deliver to keep your most vulnerable members healthy. For nearly 50 years, Meals on Wheels has touched the lives of millions of seniors, providing them with the nutrition they need and human contact they desire. But the benefits of this care and compassion go far beyond, driving notable improvements in their health and your bottom line. Staff and volunteers from the nationwide Meals on Wheels network are the “eyes and ears” in the homes of your most at-risk members. Put us to work to observe firsthand any changes in their physical or mental conditions. Learn more about Meals on Wheels here.
