Cook the Book With Jason Broughton, Vermont State Librarian

The Winooski Memorial Library is excited to announce the next "Cook the Book" virtual cooking session!

Learn how to make an amazing sweet potato pie with Jason Broughton, the Vermont State Librarian. Jason is an at-home baking extraordinaire - his demo will guide participants through the steps of preparing a sweet potato pie with yams and a golden graham cracker crust. While he's demonstrating his baking techniques, Jason will also discuss the many ways the Vermont Department of Libraries provides support and advocacy to the 180 public libraries throughout Vermont.

About our "Cook the Book" Virtual Cooking Program:

Calling all aspiring chefs, home foodies, or those new to the kitchen - the Winooski Memorial Library is excited to announce our new virtual cooking series! This program aims to engage our residents in a fun and educational (and delicious) experience that can be enjoyed safely at home. Participants can learn to prepare a healthy and delicious recipe in real-time with a featured local chef while introducing new recipes and techniques for any skill level! Please note: a limited number of ingredient kits will be provided to participants (first-served) and made possible by the generous support of City Market Co-op and our guest chefs.
