[ARCHIVED] Myers Memorial Pool Operating Updates and Mask Requirements

Pool Notice

Starting July 5, 2021, masks will not be required inside the pool lobby or locker rooms for those who are fully vaccinated (defined as 2 weeks after the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine). Masks are required for those who are not fully vaccinated inside the pool lobby and locker rooms.

Capacity & Social Distancing

  • Capacity for Myers Memorial Pool will increase from 75 people to 100 people effective July 5, 2021. This is the maximum capacity for the pool facility regardless of the COVID-19 and will be strictly enforced. Locker room capacity will increase to 18 people.
  • All persons are asked to continue to allow a 3-foot minimum distance between separate households, to do their part in protecting our unvaccinated population.

Open Swim Reservations

  • Open swim time slots will continue to operate on a reservation-based system.
  • There will still be 40 spots per time slot held for pre-reservation, and walk-up capacity will increase to 60. Time slots will increase in length from 1.5 hours to 2-3 hours.
  • There will be a maximum of 2 breaks per day during which all patrons must exit the pool, and leave the pool deck. For patrons who have reserved back-to-back reservations, they will be allowed to leave their personal items within the facility, but cannot be in the facility during the 15-minute break. This will be enforced by the on-site pool staff, as well as trusted through the honor system. The break is to allow time to rebalance the water chemistry, give the lifeguards a chance to hydrate, sanitize internal surfaces, provide a chance for new patrons to enter the pool, and returning patrons to hydrate, refuel, sit in the shade, etc.

All changes will go into effect Monday, July 5, 2021.
