Salvation Farms Job Training Program Summer Session

Our partners at Salvation Farms are providing a summer session for their Job-Readiness Training Program right here in Winooski. At the Vermont Commodity Program, trainees are part of a fun, productive team that helps get local food into the community. Trainees learn skills in food handling and manufacturing, earn an industry-recognized certification, and receive support in finding the right job for the long-term.

Program Experience:

  • Clean, process, and pack produce for your community
  • Build employable skills
  • Learn from guest presenters and gain exposure to employers

Commitment and Eligibility:

  • 8-week program
  • Tuesday – Thursday, 9 AM – 4 PM
  • 16 years or older
  • Basic ability to read, write, and speak in English
  • Commit to full participation in the program
  • Committed to finding employment or continuing education
