Press Release: BTV Noise Monitoring and Flight Tracking System
"As part of our commitment to community outreach regarding operations at the Burlington International Airport, we have installed a noise monitoring and flight tracking system. The community can now access aircraft flight tracks and associated noise levels at our three noise monitoring sites by using this tool. Designed to increase understanding about BTV overflights, the Portal allows you to watch time-delayed movement of aircraft in transit around the region. Please note that there are limitations to the Portal’s software. Please note not all operations will be visible with this software. Some military operations will not appear per federal requirements. Noise monitors have been installed in the cities of South Burlington, Winooski. The Williston site location is under construction and will be operational by November 2021."
